Painted Watches

The dial paintings are all abstract and intuitively respond to the dials, at points complimenting and occasionally obscuring/defacing the original design. The paintings are not planned out but recurring forms, motifs and colours relating to a broader painting practice appear in each dial. The watches were initially painted for the “Good Times Bad Times’ installation for the exhibition “Over Over Over” at Simone DeSousa Gallery in Detroit, 2015.
